Dearest Enemy is a splash page, designed to help an author promote her book of poetry at AWP. The site, DthroughZ, is meant to show off a pdf sample of her poems to potential small press publishers. The style of the book is meant to be a loose, familiar one. I reflected this tone in hand-drawn elements, hand-lettering, and pencil shading.
The two main characters of her epistolary/poetry novel, Foe and Nemesis, are depicted in silhouette medallions. These portraits were meant to be reminiscent of Victorian cameos. These sketches acted as a test for interior illustrations, but were used for the website instead.
